Success Stories.......

Current Students

So many of our students are achieving great things in the entertainment industry, it is really hard to keep on top of it all, but here are a few things we heard about lately. Savannah Sukkar recently appeared on a segment for the Kerriane show on Channel 9. Many of our students were selected to take part in the musical extravaganza "SPLASH" which involved a number of performances at Fox Studios. In this production, Kirsten Tsoltoudis sucessful auditioned for a lead singer/dancer role and had a great time performing a lead role alongside her DTN friends. Lauren McKinnon (and her long legs) were recently featured in the Supre advertising campaign for tights which invloved a dance TV Commercial and also photographic advertising. Also, look out for Lauren who will be found modelling in next months Girlfriend magazine! CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF THESE GIRLS. If you know of any other news that we haven't reported on, please drop us an email and let us know!

Success Stories......

Ex-Students

We are so proud of 3 of our ex-students who are making their mark in the Entertainment World. In July, we went to watch Rebecca Nastasi in Locreado (a contemporary company for young performers in Sydney). Bec was outstanding in this new work and her good technique and performance quality was just stunning to watch. Since this production was staged, Bec has sucessfully auditioned for the touring company of this show, quite an achievement! Emily Hart is about to start a season with Rockdale Musical Society in Beauty and the Beast. Em plays a 'Silly Girl" in this production and we can't wait to see her do her thing!!! And last but not least, Sarah Hogan is working up a storm in her full time course at Ed5. We are eagerly awaiting seeing what she will do in the showcase performance in December and where her career will take this talented little lady, once she graduates. Congratualtions to all 3 of these girls for working hard and having the self discipline and determination to follow your dreams. We are so excited to follow your careers for many years to come.

Concert

PREPARATIONS ARE UNDERWAY

All weekly classes have now started their routines for the concert and it is shaping up to be a great one. Don't forget, in order to participate in the concert, students (and parents) must commit to being at the Dress Rehearsal (28 Nov) and BOTH concerts (10/12 Dec). If you are not able to commit to all 3 of these compulsory dates, please notify the office immediately so that we do not order a costume for your child.

Presentation Day

NEXT WEEKEND!

Good Luck to all students who are participating in the Presentations next weekend. We can't wait to see what you all will do when you hit the dance floor. If you have not received information about the event, please contact the office immediately.

Electric Safari

Don't forget to book your Electric Safari Course. Classes are running on 13th and 14th April. We can wait to see you all graduating on the 18th. Contact ElectricSafari.com to book in for the course here at DTN.

Acrobatic Madness!!!!

Great progress in 2010.

This year acrobatics is on fire at DTN. With more students than ever taking acrobatics, there is so much progress and achievement that it is hard to pick what to report on. Congrats to: Steph Alberici for zooming through the acro levels at lightening speed. Kristina Bilandzic for doing a barani the first time she tried. Penelope George and Hayley Stanton for pushing themselves to achieve back-sault walk outs last weekend. If we have forgotten anything, please feel free to remind us on the messages page. Keep working hard acrobats!!!
